Ok… So I screwed up… Here’s how I’m fixing it.

Mistakes suck…

We all make them. It’s a part of life. The important thing to remember about mistakes is that they do happen, and when they do, as long as you handle them the right way, people will forgive, and you’ll probably end up being better off because of them.

Very recently, I screwed up…

It affected you, quite possibly in a pretty significant way, and I’m going to fix it in just a minute.

But first (because I always try to provide value in every post / email), I want to talk a little bit about how you can handle mistakes when they do happen.

Here’s what NOT to do (which is what most people do).

When you mess up, it’s very easy to do things like:

  • Run and hide
  • Lay blame and point fingers
  • Make excuses as to why it happened in an attempt to save face

Most people will do anything to avoid admitting they were at fault.

But… in the eyes of others, all this does is make you appear defensive, weak, and whiny. No one likes a finger pointer, and no one likes someone who can’t admit they screwed up.

Most of all, it pushes the accountability you have to own your life completely away from you.

We talked for the past few weeks about owning your life, and that includes the good and the bad.

So if you mess up, just come out and admit it, think what you could have done differently, and try somehow to make a positive out of what went wrong.

This is far better than taking no responsibility at all.

So here was my mistake, and how I’m going to fix it

Unless you live in a cave, you probably already know that the last few weeks were the initial release period for my newest course, 401k Millionaire.

In a nutshell, there were some ugly things happening on the sales pages with the payment processor that I used. These things prevented many people from being able to check out successfully.

Just check out this screenshot I received.

Ugh…

Since then, folks who emailed me have been taken care of, but many folks, yourself possibly included, were not able to access the pages to check out and purchase 401k Millionaire, at any level.

Now, here’s the point where I could go on a rant and start pointing fingers about what happened, but that wouldn’t fix anything.

It certainly wouldn’t help you with your 401k.

When it comes down to it, it was my sales page, and I was the one responsible to make sure it worked across every browser, no matter what the security settings, version, cookies, javascript, etc.

I made a mistake. I failed you. That’s completely on me.

So now I need to make up for that. Here’s what I’m going to do.

Here are my “mistake upgrades” for you. You’ll never find this deal again

For the next 72(ish) hours, ending Tuesday, Oct 9th at 6pm EST, 401k Millionaire will be re-opened for enrollment, this time with the checkout pages working completely correctly

And here’s where things get awesome. I’m offering you three awesome upgrades. All you have to do is email me your receipt.

If you purchase the eBook version, you get a free upgrade to the Audio Course version (a $30 upgrade).

If you purchase the Audio Course version, you get a free upgrade to the Premium HD Video version (a $70 upgrade).

If you purchase the Premium HD Verison, you get a free 60 minute coaching session with me included with your purchase, to be used at any point of your choosing (a $150 value).

None of these upgrades have been offered before and none of them will be offered after this promotion. This is my 72 hour way of saying, “I screwed up”, and you get to benefit because of it.

So again, I apologize for what happened with the checkout pages. I hope this helps to make up for my mistake.

I’ll send a couple more reminders about this to make sure you have every chance to take advantage.

After that, we’ll resume Academy Success as usual.

– Cody

PS: I screwed up. The 401k sales page had a mistake that prevented some people from checking out, and I’m re-opening it for 3 days, with some awesome bonus upgrades.
