printable habit and productivity tracking calendar

It takes 28 days to ingrain a new habit into your life. There is a lot of science behind why, but it essentially comes down to creating new neural pathways in your brain. I created the habit and productivity tracking calendar on this page to help you with this.

New habits are difficult because our brain has not yet developed the “automatic” mechanism to perform them without resistance. Over time, as we continue to perform a task repeatedly, these neural pathways develop.

Over time, these will strengthen as your new habit develops in your brain, and after about a month you’ll have a solid new habit that you barely even have to think about.

Unfortunately, there’s no way to shortcut this process of creating new brain pathways. However, what you can do is set yourself up for success from the beginning, so when your 28 days have ended, you have a brand new, high productivity creating habit.

The Printable Habit and Productivity Tracking Calendar

I created this printable habit and productivity tracking calendar to help you with this process. It has 28 boxes – one for each day you want to perform a new behavior.

This calendar uses the “don’t break the chain” method of productivity. When you’re successful, mark your box off. If you’re not, don’t.

Your goal is to fill every single box. This is a great visual way to track the creation of a new habit and also keep your motivation in front of you.
